Hans-Joachim Dumeier, born in Kassel, studied Sacred Music in Herford and Detmold, and organ at the Strasbourg Conservatory under Daniel Roth from Paris. Since 1986, he has been the Choir Director at the Michelstadt Municipal Protestant Church, and has played organ recitals in numerous European cities, and the USA. In addition to directing the Festival "Music Nights Michelstadt", he has focused much of his attention on Jewish culture and music. He is currently the West European advisor of the "Center of Jewish Culture and Creativity", located in Los Angeles. |
